We are announcing an audition for Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra’s position

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

with obligation to play 1st oboe and cor anglais

We offer:

The audition takes place in three rounds. To participate in the 1st round, we expect:

• your CV together with an overview of your creative activities;
• video recording of your performance of W. A. Mozart Oboe Concerto in C Major KV 314 1st and 2nd movement with accompaniment.

Candidates reaching the 2nd round are invited to an audition where we expect you to perform:

• W. A. Mozart Oboe Concerto in C Major KV 314 1st and 2nd movement with cadenza.

In the 3rd round candidates will have to perform:

• R. Strauss Oboe Concerto in D Major, 1st and 2nd movement;
• orchestral excerpts, that will be sent directly to the candidates invited to the 2nd round.

AUDITION for Vanemuine Opera Chorus / Estonia

ALTO POSITION

We expect from you:

• to have graduated or are graduating with BA or MA specializing in classical singing;
• to have prior work experience as a soloist or choir singer;
• English language skills and knowledge of Italian, Russian, German, and French at pronunciation level would be beneficial;
• good sight-reading skills and knowledge of different musical styles;
• good team-player with good stress tolerance.

We offer:

• 56 days of paid holidays annually;
• opportunity to work with a very diverse repertoire;
• full-time job with salary 1600 euros (gross) monthly;
• opportunity to apply for soloist roles at Vanemuine Theatre.

The audition will take place in two rounds.

To participate in the 1st round, please send your CV together with an overview of your musical activities and a video recording  of two freely chosen opera arias.

2nd round participants are called in for an auditionthat takes place in three parts:

1) Works presented in the video round

2) Voice parts from the following works:

• Puccini „Turandot“: Finale / pp. 382-384 (edition Riccordi)
• Bizet „Carmen“: lk 34-39 Choeur des Cigarieres
• Verdi „Requiem“: Libera me, Fugue / pp. 130-140 (edition Peters)
• Purcell „King Arthur“: pp. 27-30 / pp. 65-67 (edition Novello)

3) Sight-Reading test

The audition is followed by a test of vocal range and an interview.
