Originally from Lyon, soprano Perrine Madoeuf began singing at the age of nine in the children’s choir of the Opéra de Lyon. She studied at the Lyon National Conservatory of Music before completing her training at the Opera Studio of the Vlaamse Opera (Flanders Opera). She quickly distinguished herself on the international scene, notably as a participant in Operalia in Verona, and as a prizewinner of several major competitions, including the Mâcon International Singing Competition, the Marseille Operetta Competition, the Arles Opera Forum, and the Catalan Countries Competition.

Her wide-ranging repertoire encompasses many leading soprano roles, including Susanna and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Donna Elvira and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Countess Adèle (Le Comte Ory), Violetta (La traviata), Gilda (Rigoletto), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Marguerite (Faust), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Manon (Massenet), Micaëla (Carmen), Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Musetta and Mimì (La bohème), Amalia (I Masnadieri), Blanche de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites), and Gabrielle (La Vie parisienne).

She has also performed the role of Maria in West Side Story on tour in France, Canada, and China. Perrine Madoeuf has appeared on numerous international stages, including the Opéra de Montpellier, Opéra de Rouen, Opéra de Rennes, Opéra de Metz, Opéra de Nice, Théâtre de l’Odéon in Marseille, Biel-Solothurn Theatre, Latvian National Opera (Riga), Estonian National Opera (Tallinn), Albanian National Opera (Tirana), Opéra d’Alger, the Royal Danish Opera, and the Opéra de Marseille.

In December 2021, she made a remarkable debut at the Opéra Comique, stepping in at the last minute as Juliette in a new production of Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, achieving a highly acclaimed and triumphant success.

In recent seasons, her engagements have included Countess Adèle (Le Comte Ory) at the Opéra de Metz; Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) and Marguerite (Faust) at the Estonian National Opera; Eurydice (Orphée aux enfers) at the Opéra de Nice; Adina (L’elisir d’amore) at Opéra de Rennes and Angers Nantes Opéra; Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) and Liane de Pougy (Gypsy, Lopez) at the Théâtre de l’Odéon in Marseille; and Micaëla (Carmen) at the Royal Danish Opera.

During the 2023/24 season, she sang Musetta (La bohème) at the Opéra de Metz and the Opéra de Saint-Étienne, Anna Elisa (Paganini, Lehár) at the Théâtre de l’Odéon in Marseille, Nadia (The Merry Widow) at the Opéra de Marseille, and Juliette in Gounod’s opera at the Bern and Tallinn Operas. She also appeared as soprano soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 under the baton of Tarmo Peltokoski with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.

Last season, she returned as Micaëla at the Estonian National Opera and the Opéra de Nice, sang Eva Marshall (Le Chanteur de Mexico, Lopez) at the Opéra de Metz, Marguerite (Faust) at the Latvian National Opera, and Violetta Valéry in a concert performance of La traviata with Le Cercle de l’Harmonie conducted by Jérémie Rhorer.

In 2026, Perrine Madoeuf sings Violetta Valéry in La traviata at Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu and the Teatro Wielki in Warsaw, as well as Micaëla in Carmen in Hong Kong.

Since September 2024, she has also been teaching vocal studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
