The text of the Christian hymn Stabat Mater, which describes the sufferings of the Virgin Mary and dates back to the 13th century, has inspired many composers. At the Holy Week concert, versions composed by Antonio Vivaldi and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi will be performed by Pirjo Jonas and Martin Karu.
