Mirabilia (Põlenud mägi)

Mirabilia (Põlenud mägi)

Love story by Tiit Palu

We come from homes that were made of books.
On some quiet evening, it might well happen that Milady and her musketeer entourage find themselves sailing on the Kon-Tiki, through the thrilling danger of the books in the Mirabilia series, to visit Turkish fairy tale heroes at the foot of Ararat, where they (and Kalle Blomkvist) found Le Père Goriot and Engineer Garin already waiting for them like a band of brothers.

You didn’t need more than a 100-watt light bulb and an active imagination. It was hard to get rid of books. Especially when you were used to living with them and loving them.
What would happen if we opened the pages of those old books once more?
In this production, a colourful cast of characters will gather to read and discuss the books. The books are the same but the perspectives on life and literature are completely different.

Books don’t burn away. Laugh or cry, but you can’t shake the power of memory.

Premiere 24.09.2016 at Sadamateater (The Harbour Theatre)
