Richard III

A man saw a dream of limitless power and pursued it ever sinceā€¦

Nobody is born evil, but there have always been some whose lives and actions speak to the contrary. What happened to them ā€“ why did a straight sapling grow into a crooked tree?
The lead character of William Shakespeareā€™s play is King Richard III of England, who spares no method to rise to the throne and claim power: he betrays blood ties, falsifies election results and employs every scheme to wear the crown. A bloody game of crowns ensues, with only two possible outcomes: triumph or death. Is it possible to defeat evil, and will there be a Day of Reckoning

Director Tanel Jonas:

We live in a time that celebrates ambition. But when does healthy ambition become something more, something that drives a person to dance with the devil and sell his soul in the name of power? And once the soul is gone, is there any hope or chance for a better tomorrow?
