A game of crowns in two acts

A man saw a dream of limitless power and pursued it ever since…
Nobody is born evil, but there have always been some whose lives and actions
speak to the contrary. What happened to them – why did a straight sapling
grow into a crooked tree?
The lead character of William Shakespeare’s play is King Richard III of England,
who spares no method to rise to the throne and claim power: he betrays blood
ties, uses manipulation to garner political support and employs every scheme
to don the crown. A bloody game of crowns ensues, with only two possible
outcomes: triumph or death. Is it possible to defeat evil, and will there be a Day
of Reckoning?

Director Tanel Jonas:
We live in a time that celebrates ambition. But at which point does healthy
ambition become something more, something that drives a person to dance
with the devil and sell his soul in the name of power? And once the soul is
gone, is there any hope or chance for a better tomorrow?
