This year’s Season Opening Concert of the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra sees the Estonian premiere of Tõnu Kõrvits’s piece for mixed choir and orchestra “Tota pulchra es, amica mea”. Edward Elgar’s contemplative and elegiac cello concerto will be performed with the cellist Marcel Johannes Kits as the soloist. The concert evening will be concluded with Gustav Holst’s seven-part orchestral suite “Planets”.
The concert in Tartu takes place in collaboration with Eesti Kontsert.
