Summer Concert of the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra

In 2010 Vanemuine revived the beautiful tradition of summer concerts, continuing the tradition created in the beginning of the 20th century when Vanemuine first began work as a professional theatre. This free outdoor garden concert by the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra is held for the 13th time in the Kassitoome Valley.
The summer concert features music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Georg Friedrich Händel, Gustav Holst and others. Among Estonian composers, the audience can enjoy music by Heino Eller, Ardo Ran Varres, Villem Kapp and Raimond Valgre.
At the concert, it is possible to make a donation to support the restoration of Tartu St. Mary’s Church.
The main supporter of the concert is AS GIGA.
The supporters of the concert are the city of Tartu, VSpa, Kvartal and Coop Tartu.
